L Prize Featured at LIGHTFAIR International 2011

May 17–19, 2011

As part of DOE's ongoing commitment to lighting education, the Solid-State Lighting (SSL) program traveled to Philadelphia for LIGHTFAIR® International's 2011 Trade Show and Conference, May 17–19. For the third year in a row, the SSL program hosted a booth and educational seminars including an update on the L Prize competition.

On May 17, DOE SSL Program Manager Jim Brodrick hosted a competition update on the status of the first 60W entry, including completion of field assessments and long-term and stress testing. Brodrick also provided examples of specific field assessment applications, representing a broad range of operating conditions, as well as survey feedback from assessment participants.
